Welcome to Dan's CBR 900-RR Page!

A newsclipping of my crash.

This CBR900RR was my race bike for the 1994-96 seasons. In December of 1996, I bought a GSXR-600 to replace it after a bad tumbling crash in 1996. I bought this bike in April of 92, (yea, I know, it's a 93 model, that's just the way Honda does it.) I raced at Portland Internation Raceway (PIR, as part of OMMRA (as well as RAM in Coos-Bay pictured above.) My best finish at OMMRA this year was 14th out of 29. I'm definitely an amateur racer.

The CBR weighs in at less than 400 lbs, and makes 112hp, at the rear wheel. It's a great canyon carver, and AWESOME wheelie machine. I've had it on one wheel above 100mph. Do you know what kind of ticket you get for "riding down the block, on only his rear tire?" Reckless driving.

This Dyno runs below were done when it was incredibly hot. We did many runs, including one without the exhaust pipe! But I think my engine needs a rebuild to do any better. It's got 30K+ miles on it. But for a street bike, 112hp is AWESOME. But at PIR, 112hp, puts me near (or at) the back, before turn one's break marker. My CBR with a drafting tow, will hit 160mph on that straight away. A ZX-9, starting right beside me, will be 100 ft ahead of me by the time we hit that speed. On the same Dyno, a ZX-9 was dyno'd at 124hp.
